FRAME FAQ's




  


Our road and cross frames have a slight slope to them so ACTUAL top tube length varies from the EFFECTIVE (parallel to the ground) measure, which is what you would use (along with stem length) for determining "cockpit length". Our "EFFECTIVE TT" measure is also known as the "LEVEL TT" or "VIRTUAL TT" measure.
Size is measured by seat tube length (center of the BB to the top of the seat tube).
Exception: The Smoothie is given a virtual sizing, so it is easier to compare with traditional, non-compact geometry bikes.
Please note the Delancey geometry has been revised. If you own a first generation Delancey and need to reference your numbers, please refer to the Speedster's numbers.

ALL FRAMES SHARE THESE COMMON SPECS:

Derailleur clamp size for all SOMA frames is 1-1/8", front derailleur-style: bottom-pull on all models except the Juice.

Headtubes for all models (including the Delancey) are 1-1/8", except for the Rush which is 1".

Bottom bracket has English threading/68mm shell width (except the Juice, which has a 73mm shell width)

All our road and cross frames have downtube shifter bosses to accomadate old school builds.
